Millennia of impact in a cup
In early 2021, Myta Santiago had a scented candle phase and bought (or hoarded, depending on who's telling the story) several candles to make their room smell a little better. But having just candles around wasn't enough: To truly set the mood, each night, Myta would have evening tea while lighting a candle. Then they started to buy loose tea leaves.

And the rest is history.

Since 2022, Myta has made it a mission to provide affordable high quality loose tea leaves to Filipinos as a better substitute for low quality, overpriced tea bags. They have collected several tea varieties from China and Taiwan, and now present you re:leaf Tea Manila.
re:leaf Tea Manila has three main pillars: affordability, education and transparency. The store promises to provide affordable tea with ongoing education about what you're drinking, while offering insight into tea culture and philosophy.
The shop was primarily born out of the drive to educate people how to truly appreciate tea through sight, smell, taste, and touch, as well as the history, process and future of tea in Asia and elsewhere around the world. However, most high grade teas sold outside the country are extremely expensive for the local market, so Myta found a way to bring down the prices. And while some tea sellers talk about the health benefits of tea ad infinitum, Myta simply talks about tea for what it is - its beginnings, its growth, and its millennia of impact in a cup.
